The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] premiers April 1st

LSSU Theatre at the 海角社区 Arts Center presents 鈥�The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)[revised]鈥� by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield.

Assistant Professor of Theatre and Arts Center Director, Spencer Christensen, has directed this wild comedy and states, 鈥淚t鈥檚 really about these three crazy guys who decide they鈥檙e going to do all 37 plays by William Shakespeare in 97 minutes – and they do!鈥�

The play runs April 1st – 5th with all shows at 7:00 p.m. in the Arts Center Theatre. All tickets are free and the show is family friendly.

Christensen also wants you to know that, 鈥淚f you like Shakespeare, you鈥檒l love the show. BUT if you HATE Shakespeare, you will REALLY LOVE this show.鈥�

Asked why LSSU Theatre chose this production, Christensen added, 鈥淲e really wanted to do a simple, crowd-pleasing, comedy – something where you can leave your cares and worries at the door for a few hours and just laugh at these great kids doing this production. It鈥檚 silly, fun, goofy, and just really funny.鈥�

The production stars LSSU students Michael Oakes, Alex Czarnecki, and Dan Motz. 鈥淲e鈥檝e been in rehearsal since the spring semester started getting all the jokes as refined as possible,鈥� said Christensen, 鈥渁nd the actors and crew are doing an amazing job.鈥�

Christensen also stated, 鈥淭he show was originally produced by The Reduced Shakespeare Company and it has been a huge hit since it was created in 1987. It was revised in 2007 and continues to make audiences across the country laugh.鈥�

The production was made possible with the generous support from the Issues and Intellect Fund.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)[revised]聽will be on the Arts Center Stage at 7:00 p.m. April 1st – 5th. Free parking is available in Lot K, in front of the Arts Center, and Lot E, behind the Cisler Center. The Arts Center is wheelchair accessible. Admission is FREE.
